A long river of postures, breath, and sitting still
Yoga

The body remembers how to be a body. Shapes and breath give the mind a place to rest that isn't a thought.
A first walk
- 1
Take off your shoes. Feel the floor.
- 2
Stand like a child waiting for a story. Soft knees.
- 3
Lift your arms on the in-breath, fold on the out-breath. Five times. Slow enough to be a little bored.
- 4
Sit. Count ten breaths. If you lose count, begin at one. Beginning is the practice.
